Remember it's Cold and Flu Season
Cold & Flu Alert – Stopping the spread of germs starts with you!
HOT Germ Season Ahead
When you wash your hands often with soap and water – especially after using shared objects – you’re doing a pretty good job of stopping cold and flu germs.
Did you know? Those most vulnerable to flu and it’s complications include seniors; young children; people with heart and lung disease, diabetes, or other chronic medical conditions; smokers; and health care or child care workers. In fact, it’s the life-threatening complications that spark the annual push for vaccination. Do you need to get a flu shot this year?
Cold and Flu Season Reminders
- Wash your hands well and often
- Disinfect shared objects as often as possible
- Avoid touching your face with your hands
- Anti-flu drugs may help if taken early enough when symptoms strike
